Cowichan Hospice

A one-storey end-of-life care facility serving the CVRD and Cowichan Tribes. Designed in consultation with Hul’q’umi’num Elders, the garden is a place to both prepare for death and celebrate life. Gathering areas are big enough to accommodate extended family units and are appropriate for ceremonial use, children have their own garden space, and a Western Red Cedar is featured as a landscape focal point.
