nreiersen@ladrla.ca

Nicola has been an integral part of LADR’s management team for over a decade and began assisting design staff as a Technician after receiving her VectorWorks Certificate at Pacific Design Academy. In addition to day-to-day operations, she is responsible for coordinating proposals and business development, preparing cost estimates, and assisting with public facilitation and presentation production.

Nicola majored in History at the University of Victoria and her studies fueled her commitment to social impact design and design justice. She is particularly interested in creating equitable spaces and the role designers can play in acknowledging history, aiding healing opportunities, participating in reconciliation initiatives, and amplifying the voices of frequently invisibilized communities.

Nicola is the primary designer for site updates to 2915 Douglas Street, a mixed-use former hotel converted to provide low-barrier housing and a 90-day residential recovery program.
